Surgical Department

The Surgical Department at BIMS Hospital Unit–I provides surgical care services within the approved scope of the hospital under the West Bengal Clinical Establishment (Registration, Regulation and Transparency) Act, 2017.

The department supports pre-operative assessment, post-operative care, and supervised surgical procedures conducted in designated operation theatre facilities, following standard clinical protocols and safety measures.

All surgical activities are performed under the supervision of qualified medical professionals and trained nursing staff, ensuring adherence to infection control practices, patient monitoring, and proper documentation.

The Surgical Department also facilitates supervised clinical exposure and learning opportunities for Nursing and Pharmacy students, in alignment with academic requirements and patient safety norms.
