OBG / Maternity Department

The OBG / Maternity Department at BIMS Hospital Unit–I provides maternal and women’s healthcare services within the approved clinical scope of the hospital under the West Bengal Clinical Establishment (Registration, Regulation and Transparency) Act, 2017.

The department supports antenatal, intranatal, and postnatal care services, conducted in designated clinical areas and labour room facilities, following standard safety, hygiene, and documentation protocols.

All maternity-related services are delivered under the supervision of qualified medical professionals and trained nursing staff, with due emphasis on patient safety, infection control, and ethical clinical practices.

The OBG / Maternity Department also facilitates supervised clinical exposure for Nursing and Pharmacy students as part of their academic training, without compromising patient care standards.
