Emergency / Casualty Department

The Emergency / Casualty Department at BIMS Hospital Unit–I provides immediate assessment and initial management of patients requiring urgent medical attention, within the approved clinical scope of the hospital under the West Bengal Clinical Establishment (Registration, Regulation and Transparency) Act, 2017.

The department supports triage, stabilization, and referral services as required, with activities carried out in designated emergency care areas following standard safety, hygiene, and documentation protocols.

Emergency services are delivered under the supervision of qualified medical officers and trained nursing staff, ensuring patient safety, timely response, and adherence to applicable clinical guidelines.

The Emergency / Casualty Department also provides a supervised clinical environment for observational learning of Nursing and Pharmacy students, in alignment with academic requirements and patient safety norms.
