Biomedical Waste Management

BIMS Hospital Unit–I follows prescribed biomedical waste management practices to ensure safe handling, segregation, storage, and disposal of biomedical waste generated within the hospital premises.

Biomedical waste is segregated at the point of generation using appropriate colour coding and containers, in accordance with applicable rules and standard guidelines.

Collection and disposal of biomedical waste are carried out through authorised channels, with due emphasis on infection control, environmental safety, and proper record maintenance.

All staff members, students, and trainees are instructed to follow biomedical waste management protocols to maintain a safe, hygienic, and compliant hospital environment.
